Breeding |
Difficult to breed, but will breed in the Corydoras fashion. Tank water should be around 74-76*F. Spawning usually occurs when there has been a recent water change, or slight change in temperature. Cories (females) will swim around the tank quickly while being chased by males. Cories will lock in a "T" shape, and females will usually then distribute eggs. As cories are nocturnal, the spawns usually occur overnight. |
Comments |
These fish should be kept in aquariums whose substrate is small rounded gravel, or sandy substrate. Sand is ideal, as the barbells will not be harmed. |
